Message from Principal

Rupy’s International School has provided an environment where the children are first of all happy to be at school with their friends and teachers. I have felt this on the first day and all the other days that they have been in school. A child wanting to come to school is in itself a positive note to start the day. After having worked at Shuvatara School for 14 years the difference that I have found is a very strong and dominant English spoken environment amongst all the teachers and the students which is lacking in most schools in Nepal. School is the place where they have an environment of speaking and expressing in a language that is internationally recognised.

The school has created an environment where children have an opportunity to explore different areas of development. The philosophy of the school is an all round development and individual care for each and every child. Every child is very important for us that is why we have a very good teacher student ratio of 1:6

In 2009, we started the GCE A Levels programme under the University of Cambridge. It is equivalent to the 10+2 education under Higher Secondary Education Board (HSEB), Nepal. The University of Cambridge, UK, established University of Cambridge Local Examination Syndicate (UCLES) in the year 1858. Today, UCLES is the world leader in the field of educational assessment. Every year, more than one million candidates enter for the UCLES examination in over 150 countries.

Although A’ level study is more focused on Nepali context for getting easy access to reputed universities abroad for higher studies after the completion of the course, the students completing A level may very well continue further studies in Nepal itself in their relative field of choice. The horizon of A’ level education is so broad that a student completing A’ level enjoys the immeasurable advantage of pursuing further studies anywhere in the world and can opt for any national and international course of personal choice.

Rupy’s International School, is the first school in Nepal to introduce the subject wise classroom. This is an innovative technique of teaching/learning process where the teachers are stationed in their respective subject classes and students move from class to class every period. This way the teacher can equip the class as per need of the syllabus and the interest of the students. All students have their individual lockers where they keep their belongings.

We believe that all students have unique talents, whether in academics, sports, communication, technology, art, craft or drama. We would expect the cooperation of all parents for the overall development of the students. Hope to have a very successful year of achievement and success.
