Founding Principal, Rupy’s International School
Rupy’s International School, now celebrating its 40th year anniversary, truly embodies Benjamin Franklin’s famous quotation: “An investment in knowledge pays the best interest”.
February 1982 was a profoundly significant date for Rupinder Singh: her noble aspiration to launch an international school in Kathmandu, Nepal was met. Even without me as a co-founder, she has been confidently & successfully leading the school with the inspiring school motto of “CREATING WINNERS FOR LIFE.”
Rupy’s endless efforts has been solidified with the unwavering moral support from her loving husband Darshan & their 3 children: Reena, Dr. Satbir and Amarbir. The incredible hard work of the previous and current administration, teachers and staff & continued support/involvement from parents is truly reflected in the success of the school.
Today, in spite of all the challenges, and 40 amazing years later, Rupy’s International School continues to expand, meeting the exacting high standards and values expected of an institution with students from different backgrounds. The enrolment continues to surge, from both the international & local communities, including the children/relatives of the royal families. Being recognized as a MODEL SCHOOL OF NEPAL is indeed a great achievement! I am extremely honored and proud to be associated with the school and to be considered as one of Rupy’s best friends!
Congratulations to Rupy, the school, and its supporters, for all your priceless efforts! I hope you all continue to be highly motivated in doing a fine job as educators and serve as an inspiration to all, not only in Nepal but also all over the world. Rupy’s unforgettable legacy is definitely imbedded in her firm commitment: “ WANTING NOTHING BUT THE BEST “, and indeed, RUPY’S INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL remains to be the best!
As we say in the Philippines, MABUHAY (Long Live) !!!
